The tongue exemplifies sacrifice. When it tastes sweet delicacies, it sends them to the stomach. But if the item is bitter, the tongue at once spits it out. Not merely that, the tongue conducts itself in the most honourable manner. It does not step out of its house (mouth) under any circumstances. It does all its work without crossing its limits. While all other senses do only one work each, the tongue alone has the capacity to do two types of work, namely, to taste and to speak. That is why one has to exercise proper control over the tongue lest it should indulge in sinful activities like talking ill of others. In times of anger, observe silence. Our ancients taught: talk less, work more. The lesser you speak, the purer your heart remains.

Die Zunge gibt ein Beispiel für Opferhaltung (Hingabe). Wenn sie süße Delikatessen schmeckt, sendet sie sie zum Magen. Aber wenn es sich um etwas Bitteres handelt, spuckt die Zunge es sofort aus. Nicht nur das, die Zunge benimmt sich in der ehrenhaftesten Weise. Sie tritt unter keinen Umständen aus ihrem Haus (dem Mund) heraus. Sie tut all ihre Arbeit, ohne ihre Grenzen zu überschreiten. Während all die anderen Sinne jeweils nur eine Arbeit tun, hat die Zunge allein die Fähigkeit, zweierlei Art von Arbeit zu tun, nämlich zu schmecken und zu sprechen. Das ist der Grund, warum man die richtige Kontrolle über die Zunge üben muß, damit sie nicht sündhaftem Tun, wie dem schlechten Sprechen über andere, nachgibt. In Zeiten von Ärger bewahre Stillschweigen. Unsere Vorfahren lehrten: spreche weniger, arbeite mehr. Je wenigere Du sprichst, um so reiner bleibt Dein Herz.

Lidah mencontohkan tentang nilai pengorbanan. Ketika ia mencicipi sesuatu yang manis, ia akan langsung mengirimkannya kepada perut. Namun jikalau yang ada di mulut terasa pahit, sang lidah akan langsung membuangnya. Bukan itu saja, sang lidah juga berperilaku secara hormat. Dalam keadaan bagaimanapun juga, ia tak pernah keluar dari rumahnya (mulut). Ia melakukan tugas-tugasnya tanpa melewati batasan yang ada. Ketika indera-indera lainnya hanya melakukan satu jenis pekerjaan, sang lidah mempunyai kemampuan untuk melakukan dua jenis pekerjaan, yaitu sebagai indera perasa dan untuk berbicara. Itulah sebabnya, engkau harus mengendalikan secara baik lidahmu agar tidak terjerumus dalam perbuatan yang tidak baik seperti membicarakan hal-hal yang jelek tentang orang lain. Di kala sedang dilanda amarah, praktekkanlah silence (berdiam diri). Para leluhur kita telah mengajarkan: berbicaralah sesedikit mungkin, dan bekerjalah dalam porsi yang lebih banyak. Semakin sedikit engkau berbicara, maka kemurnian hatimu akan tetap terjaga.

La lengua ejemplifica el sacrificio. Cuando prueba dulces manjares, los manda al estómago. Pero si es una cosa amarga, la lengua lo escupe fuera al instante. No sólo esto, la lengua se comporta de la forma más honorable. No sale de su casa (la boca) bajo ninguna circunstancia. Hace todo su trabajo sin trasponer sus límites. Mientras que todos los otros sentidos hacen un sólo trabajo cada uno, solamente la lengua tiene la capacidad de hacer dos tipos de trabajo, a saber, degustar y hablar. Es por esto que uno tiene que ejercitar el control adecuado sobre la lengua para que no se complazca en actividades pecaminosas como hablar mal de otros. En tiempos de ira, observa silencio. Nuestros ancianos enseñaron: habla menos, trabaja más. Cuanto menos hables, más puro permanecerá tu corazón.

La lingua è il migliore esempio del sacrificio. Quando gusta dolci deliziosi, li invia direttamente allo stomaco. Ma se il cibo è amaro, la lingua immediatamente lo rifiuta.Ma non soltanto in questo la lingua si comporta in modo irreprensibile. Non esce mai dalla sua casa ( la bocca) qualunque sia la occasione. Fa sempre il suo lavoro senza mai superare i suoi limiti. Mentre gli altri sensi fanno ognuno un solo lavoro, la lingua ha la capacità di fare due tipi di lavoro e cioè il gusto ed il parlare. Per questo motivo si deve esercitare il proprio controllo sulla lingua in modo che non indulga in attività peccaminose, come parlare male degli altri. Nei momenti di rabbia osservate il silenzio. Un vecchio adagio dice : Parla meno e lavora di più. Meno parlate, più il vostro cuore resta puro.
