Sairam,

Happy Baba's day to you all. Tomorrow is new year for those celebrating Ugadi, Nav Varsha, Gudi Padva. I wish you all a very happy new year filled with plenty of BABA's blessings now and forever. May the new year bring you all good tidings.

New year or a festival is quite significant in our lives. We as followers of guru tend to do something more elaborate. We would all like to show our love to our BABA. There are times when you plan and do lot of things but it does not turn out as you planned. It could be because the timing is not right or you have not planned correctly. But does this mean our love and devotion towards BABA has deminished because we could not do what we planned? Let us say we have a habit of praying to BABA every morning, do pooja, read hymns offer prasad to BABA. Suppose let us say, we are late today and forget to offer what we usually do, do you feel upset, does it make you feel incomplete. Do you feel you have moved away from BABA? Well going through Satcharita, BABA said that He does not require any kind of formality to worship Him. All He hungers for is love and devotion from his devotees. One thing we have learned through our rituals is to remember HIM. Cause as we have not followed our routine we feel that we have upset HIM and keep thinking of HIM. But the truth is BABA is a compassionate mother, His love towards us is impartial, He loves us unconditionally, He never expects anything from us other than our love. He is happier that we have thought of HIM during our busy time and schedule. The prayers and saying of Hymns is for us to discipline our mind and train it. BABA does not need that rigour. This is what Lord Sri Krishna has said in Geeta and Baba reinforced this in Satcharita...

"Whosoever devoutly offers to me a leaf, a flower, or a

fruit or water, of that pure-hearted man, I accept that pious offering." In the case of Sai Baba, if a devotee really longed to offer anything to Sai Baba, and if he afterwards forgot to offer the same, Baba reminded him, or his friend about the offering, and made him present it to Him, and then accepted it and blessed the devotee. Chapter 9 Satcharita.

BABA bless us and guide us always.

Humble pranams
