Greatness does not lie in acquiring wealth. Cultivation of noble qualities is of paramount importance. Talk less. For, the more you indulge in loose talk, the more vulnerable you become to imbibing bad tendencies. Some people talk sweetly, but deep within, their thoughts are poisonous. Such dichotomy will lead you nowhere. You must first develop softness and sweetness in your heart. It is said, Hrid + Daya = Hridaya. Your Hridaya (heart) must be full of Daya (compassion). You deserve to be called a Manava (Man) only when your heart is filled with love and compassion.

Größe liegt nicht im Erwerb von Reichtum. Kultivierung edler Eigenschaften ist von vorrangiger Bedeutung. Sprich weniger. Denn je mehr Du Dich lockerem Reden hingibst, je anfälliger wirst Du, schlechte Neigungen zu übernehmen. Manche Menschen sprechen freundlich, aber tief darunter sind ihre Gedanken giftig. Solche Doppelbödigkeit führt Dich ins Nirgendwo. Du mußt zuerst Zartheit und Freundlichkeit in Deinem Herzen entwickeln. Es heißt, Hrid + Daya = Hridaya. Dein Hridaya (Herz) muß voll Daya (Mitgefühl) sein. Du verdienst es erst ein Manava (Mensch) genannt zu werden, wenn Dein Herz erfüllt ist von Liebe und Mitgefühl.

Sebab apabila engkau terlibat dalam basa-basi, maka engkau akan semakin rentan untuk terjebak dalam kecenderungan yang negatif. Ada sebagian orang yang berbicara secara lemah-lembut, tetapi di dalam dirinya ia memiliki pikiran yang beracun. Sifat dikotomis seperti ini tak akan membuah hasil apapun juga. Yang perlu engkau kembangkan terlebih dahulu adalah kelembutan hatimu. Sebagaimana dikatakan, Hrid + Daya = Hridaya. Hridaya (hati)-mu haruslah dipenuhi oleh Daya (welas-asih). Engkau baru layak disebut sebagai Manava (manusia) hanya apabila hatimu telah dipenuhi oleh cinta-kasih dan welas-asih.
