God above mind/intellect and heart

Human mind in the current world always looks for rationale and logic

for everything. But faith in God requires rigor and discipline on a

firm footing without a proof in advance that God is the supreme power.

The sense of fulfillment in the process of realization and Bliss

achieved through realization are the only proof. The realization

becomes reality only when the mind is eliminated. It is my

understanding also neither the mind/intellect nor the heart can

comprehend God, as God is above both mind/intellect and heart. These

two are only facilitators (we use the mind/intellect to gain knowledge

and heart to build love and compassion) to do certain acts that would

please God and we do things with our mind and heart only to facilitate

realization of God. It is difficult to understand God with these two

instruments. We have to use the body to worship God, Mind/Intellect to

gain knowledge and heart to develop love and compassion. This process

pleases God and opens up opportunity for Self to be part of Brahman.

The senses are provided to man to self-preserve and find ways for Atma

to merge with Brahman and not for pleasure.

 

Therefore, if we try to understand God first, we would fail in the

spiritual path. We have to assume " GOD " as the solution for our

suffering and work towards it.
