Namaste Suvarna, keeping a black tortoise in the home is fine. Since

it was found in the field by your friend, its means they were bound

to 'meet'. It will be good for your friend to take care of it and

feed it well. Black tortoises can also pacify Shani.

 

Having said that, pls ask your friend to meditate whether he feels

strongly to keep it. If he does, great. If he feels uncomfortable,

then give it to someone who would like to have the black tortoise.

Pls don't just throw it out.
