Guest guest
Namaste GR, all malas that consist of 32 beads are known as Kantha Malas. They are for sadhana and spiritual purposes. Some people just prefer wearing this number of beads due to size and length. A lot of swamis and gurus wear 32 beads too. No its not necessary to make a sumeru in the middle to be positioned at the top of the navel when wearing the mala. This is a matter of personal preference. Below is a little information about Kantha Malas : Kanthas & Their Importance Prajapati (Brahma) said in Nirnayasindhu: A rosary of 32 beads renders moksa (spiritual enlightenment). While wearing a rosary of thirty two beads if a man does rituals, he gets many folds more benefits. Vopadeva states in Padartha-Darsa that one who wears thirty two Rudrakshas in neck, forty on forehead, six in each ears, twelve in each wrists, sixteen in each arms, four in each eyes, one hundred eight over the chest, himself becomes Neelakantha (Lord Shiva). Kanthas are always 32+1 beads. They are worn for spiritual purposes. ========= Om Namah Shivaya , " Mathewgary " <ravalgautamv wrote: > > Dear Narasimhaye and All other members, > > Can any body know does is suitable for wearing holly rudraksha > personal mala of 32 beads?? > > What is the important of making Mala of 32 no of holly beads? > > Does it necessary to make as " Sumeru " as on bead at middle? > > I await your valuable reply/feedback/Guidance??? > > Best Regards, > GR >
