Guest guest
Gurupurnima is the day we pay homage to our beloved Sadguru, Shri Shirdi Sai, for being with us every single minute of each day and for constantly helping, guiding and protecting us. While we have the freedom to think and act as we choose we must know that HE is aware of each thought and each action of ours. Whenever the burden of suffering or the evil consequences created by our negative thoughts and actions become too much for us to bear. HE intervenes to protect and help us. At the time we get help we may not realize that the help came from Him. But if we reflect on the many critical events in our lives and the many seemingly chance encounters with people that helped us change our minds and take more informed decisions, or that gave us strength, we will realize that these were not just coincidence, but bear the clear imprint of our Sadguru's hand. HE sends help, or intervenes, to enable mid-course corrections and minimises our sufferings. The splendour of the divine personality of our Sadguru, Shri Shirdi Sai is captured precisely, succinctly and dexterously in Shri C.B.Satpathyji's Guru Purnima Message, as the magnificent qualities of selfless service to all, without the least consideration of His own self, beyond the limitations of any organized religion or path, unity of souls, inculcating towards all faiths in His devotees, no question of economic and social differentiation, non-possession, non- attachment, divinely magnanimous, empathetic approach towards the poorest of the poor among His devotees, as well as animals and birds, etc. Shri A.R.Nandaji reiterates this for us by outlining gow Baba taught His devotees lessons in morality, conduct in daily life, humility, fraternity and sympathy and treated men of low social status as His equais even if that lesson was unpalatable to some. He also state that nothing we do " even in secrecy " is hidden from God or Guru and we should be careful in our thoughts and deeds. Shri Sai suresh Panda presents several instances drawn drom Sri Sai Satcharita, that depict how " Baba's eye of vigilant supervision is ever on those who love Me. Whatever you do, Wherever you may be, ever bear this in mind that I am always aware of everything you do " On this Guru Purnima day that is on 29.07.2007, let us thank our Sadguru Sri Sainath maharaj for all the help that He constantly extends to us and pray to Him to help us to become pure souls. Since " the Guru is a channel for the Jivatma to relink itself with the Paramatma " (Swami Chidananda), let us take cognisance of this, leave pride and ego and surrender ourselves to our Paramatma, Sadguru Shri Shirdi Sai
