Guest guest
Meaning of the song Yamuna tat par: This is the prayer of a devotee who imagines himself to be a contemporary of Krishna like the cowboys and gopikas. Refrain: On the banks of Yamuna, in Brundavan, may I dance withyou O kaanha (pet name of krishna)! Stanza 1: Along with the cowboys may I sit and discuss your actions and mischiefs. May I along with the gopikas smear sandal paste on you. O Kaanha!! Stanza 2: Let me adore you with the Kasturi vermillion on the forehead and look at you again and again. Let me feel elated by sharing with you the butter you are eating O Kanha! Stanza 3: Hearing your Flute in the beautiful gardens of Madhuban, I forget myself, I get lost in oblivion. Let me fall in love with you and redeem myself from the bondage of ignorance and attachment O Kanha! Stanza 4: Embracing you I can cross this ocean of life O Kanha! O Sachchidananada (the eternal blissful true one) I drown myself in your nectarian Gita and loose my existence to merge in You.
