Guest guest
I agree with Srilakshmi, we should not discuss superiority of religions. Religions are not better than the people associated with them. Unfortunatly most authorities in religions are caught by delusions, egotism, and confusions. Due to religions humans suffered wars, supression, unfathomable pains and what not. But what actually means religion? This word is of latin origin and is composed of two words: re & ligare. Means back to the source. Beautiful meaning. That principle which connects us with the divine self that dwells in every person is true religion. Only Satguru is the genuine gate opener towards wisdom, freedom, universal love and enlightenment. Our Sri Swamiji is a true embodiment of the essence of all religions. Sri Swamiji reminds us that we should go within and improve ourselves. When we turn our focus inside we know what is right and wrong. It´s quite simple.Religions have so many rules and regulations. Toooo many i think. When i went to Pashupatinath in Kathmandu with Balaswami i was rejected the access to the temple. Why? Because i have white skin and am not a born Hindu. I felt very sad. I love Lord Shiva, he is the Lord of the universe. My devotion to the lord was not important to the temple people. Jai Guru Datta. On another occasion my wife Vani and myself went to Sri Rangam in south India. Foreigners are not allowed to the sanctum sanctorium. We went to the Temple management and explained that we are devotees of Lord Datta who dwells in the form of our Satguru Pujya Swamiji. They gave us immediate 2 uniformed escorts and lead us direct into the center of the temple. There he was, the Lord resting on the snake in the ocean. How wonderful, they let us stay there without time limit. We enjoyed an incredible darshan. There was a miracle going on. Very powerful. During that same moment Sri Swamiji was in a photo session with Arun Soni my dear brother from London. While taking amazing snaps of Sri Swamiji, Appaji suddenly went into the position of Vishnu lying on Adi Shesh. He told Arun that at that moment he was giving darshan to devotees in Sri Rangam South India. We were so lucky. Appaji himself told us about that incident in London later. On another occasion Appaji came to our cottage during Agastyas birthday and gave a similar darshan. I will post that picture on my facebook account later today. With this story i want to tell that there is nothing wrong with the religions. It is the consciousness and sensitivity of its followers that either causes happiness or pain. Datta devotees are so lucky to have a living embodiment of truth and love.To me Appajis system in depth is spiritual science. Some of that is still practised in Hinduism. Thats great. Ohter systems also have divine truth as essence but after all we are living in KaliYuga. With Appajis grace we can enjoy satyuga in times of darkness.
