Poojas during Navarathri in Sri Datta Venkateswara Temple

 

1) Sarva Alankara seva to SDV --

 

Complete Flower decoration to Sri Datta Venkateshwara

 

2) Kalyanam to Sri Datta Venkateshwara -- ( 9:30am – 12:00noon )

 

Spritual Marriage between the two consorts ( Devi Padmavathi & Devi

Lakshmi ) & the Lord. In this function you will become the foster

parents of the two concerts & you will offer their hands to the lord in

marriage. By this The lord becomes your son - in –law. With this in

mind we should lead our life.. so what kind of problems can one have ..

?

 

3) Srinivasa ( Sri Datta Venkateshwara ) Kainkarya -- ( 9:30 –

11:00am )

 

In this pooja you will perform the panchamrutha ( 5 ingridients –

Milk, Curds, Honey, Sugar & Ghee ) abhishekam to the small idol of Sri

Datta Venkateshwara with your own hands. You also clean, wipe & decorate

the idol, offer Archana with your own hands. It is a very satisfying

pooja.

 

4) Vastra Samarpana to SDV on Fridays

 

You Offer to the Lord, the saree which is wrapped around the Lord after

the Abhishekam. Offering of Vastra is very auspicious & satisfying.

 

5) Padmavathi Alankara Seva

 

During Navarathri, Devi Padmavathi who is none other than the mother

Goddess, is decorated in the different alankars of the Devi Form ( such

as Visalaksi, Durga etc., )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6) Ganesha Alankara Seva

 

Ganesha is the Pranava form of the Lord. So he too gets decorated in

different ways .. Your Pooja is to meet those expenses.

 

7) Marakata Subramanya sarva seva

 

Marakata Subramanya is the brother of Sri Ganesha. Here He is in the

Marakata form ( jade stone ). All the poojas & decorations will be

covered by this pooja

 

8) Shiva Puja

 

The Ekadasha ( 11 nos ) Shiva linga is the abode of remover of all our

accumulated sins. Performing panchamrutha Abhishekam while Rudra is

being chanted will relive us of our sins.

 

9) Everyday between 6:30 & 7:30am

 

a) Rajarajeshwari Alankara Pooja at Devi Padmavathi Sannidhi

 

In this pooja you will offer Kumkuma archana on a plate, which is then

offered to the Devi, & receive the prasadam

 

b) Abhishekam & Golden flower archana to small Murthy of Sri Datta

Venkateshwara at Lord Sri Datta Venkateshwara Sannidhi

 

The first abhishekam for the day called the Prathakala Abhishekamis done

& the archana is with Golden Flowers. You then go inside the Antaralaya

& receive the prasadam.
