Dear friends,

Jai Guru Datta

As mentioned earlier you may enjoy my next photo album of our recent

Yatra to the Himalayas. One of our main destinations was a wonderful

5 day trek from the famous Siddhapeetham in Kalimath to the

enchanting abode of Lord Shiva´s Panch Kedar temple Madhyamaheshwar.

According to ancient texts it is the place where Lord Shiva´s navel

appears through the Swayambulingam in the mentioned temple. In fact

the whole area of this temple is so powerful that it humbles the

visitor and made us only think of the majestic grace of Lord Datta

who is non other than Lord Nataraj. This sacred place is reached via

a very ancient trail which has been used by great sages of ancient

Bharat. The nature and it´s surroundings here are filled with the

sacred vibrations of all the great souls that have walked on this

path. After walking a steep route for 2 days we reached the vicinity

of this magnetic powerplace. The aura of the temple fills a circle of

at least 2 km. When i came into the inner circle of the temple

grounds there was a full shower of divine grace rushing through my

whole being. Lord Datta was totally present and everything merged in

him. My body lost all fatique from walking and became simply

weightless and ecstatic. It felt as if all the cells of the body were

purified and a stong wave of divine love took me into another

dimension. At that moment the effort of the whole trip was rewarded a

thousand times.I was not the only one who felt this way.My Gurubhay

Aniruddha from Berlin felt also extremely elated by the present

vibrations. In fact i did not feel the necessity to enter the temple

anymore. It was as if the Lord came out of his abode and welcomed us

personally. Anyway, the next day entered the temple, had a wonderful

darshan and the local priest performed a memorable Puja for us. The

next morning we went with a group of 14 foreign devotees up to the

nearby hilltop. It is called Buddha Madhyamaheshwar. It means ancient

Madhyamaheshwar. There are some small lakes and the original temple

(very small) of Lord Shiva´s navel. We had a wonderful Yoga session

here above 4000m altitude. To reach this place is already Yoga.

Without proper breathing it will be hard to function here. We were

blessed with perfect weather without the normal heavy winds that

occur here. This made the lakes change into beautiful mirrors for the

beautiful Himalayan peaks. See for yourself in the pictures.

In Kalimath, the base for our trek we met a wonderful saint. Swami

Suryadev (age70) had told me that he worshipped the sun for many

years and he got totally cured of his very poor eyesight. The Swami

can look into the bright sun for a long 4 hour stretch without

twinkling the eyelid once. Quiet amazing. I felt great sympathy for

him and i wanted to offer him something. When i asked him what he

needs for his little hermitage he anwered beautifully. He told me

that i could only offer my love to him since the Lord had already

given him everything. In fact he had a small pension from his earlier

military career, which gave him even more than he needed. Therefore he

helps other Sadhus with food and shelter during their Yatras when

they come to Kalimath. The Swami explained also that we all

underestimate the power of sungod. He told that the sun is the only

direct visible deity and it is easy to worship since he gives darshan

on a daily basis. Which god can claim that? He joked with it and we

had a great time together. Please enjoy browsing at:
