Guest guest
Namaste Anil, technically both are correct in the sense that when the first one is pronounced with lips shut, the sound is like GuNg. When recited aloud, the second comes out as GuNg. Correct way to chant aloud is with tongue suspended in between mouth when you say GuNg. For interest sake, Tamil Siddha books mentioned that GuNg is correct when reciting aloud. At the same time when I studied in North India while I was young, I was taught GuNg as well. This means sometimes, its also a matter of which Guruji we receive tutelage from. However, if in doubt, its best to use Saguna Mantra as in " Aum Sri Ganashaya Namaha " . This is a bit slower but nevertheless, patience will bring the Grace of Lord Ganapathi. You will see signposts along the way. Please look at the next message for 2 other Ganesh Mantras. See which one you prefer to use. As mentioned, He is close to the human realm and will hear and guide you. Aum (also symbolizes Ganesha and the Absolute) , Anil Kumar <yogi75ank wrote: > > Namaste Narasimhaye, > > I have a confusion regarding the Ganesh mantra that > you have written at the end of the mail, I have seen > two variations of the same and would appreciate if you > could tell me which is the correct one. > > Is it > Aum Gum Ganapataye Namah > or > Aum GuNg Ganapataye Namah > > Aum >
