Germinating rudraksha seeds...etc.

Namaste, all.

 

I am a little perplexed and frustrated, as myriad attempts to germinate rudraksha seeds have been futile.

I have explored every avenue a botanist uses, and purchased "fresh new seeds ready to plant or eat" from RR,to no avail. Never having encountered a seed that refused to germinate, I wonder wherein the difficulty exists?

Surely the subtropical climate I live in ought to support a thriving rudraksha tree,but all my attempts in planting this most blest of all trees is thwarted at the beginning of the process -namely the seed sprouting & yielding the plantable product itself! With what tender devotion have I sang & chanted to the seeds & soil; Ganges water and other nutrients are offered to augment this most basic miracle of life. All the requisite elements are in place, ergo I must conclude the seeds themselves are not, in fact, ripe for germination (albeit edible) as advertised. I have spent 6 months now planting both the raw beads and the seeds themselves that were sold for this purpose,and using various techniques for the germination. Yet....nothing. I hesitate to order the plant itself, as the stress from such a journey often results in the plants demise,plus it is very cost-prohibitive to purchase plants & have them shipped to USA.

 

Does anyone know where I can obtain genuine rudraksha seeds that will,in fact, germinate? And which method is preferred?

 

My other question: If I had to choose one single rudraksha bead to wear, for opening/attuning the chakras and balance on the spiritual path,which is the optimum? Naturally the Dhyan Yog mala was suggested, but I am asking here about wearing one bead by itself. Which bead alone is the most potent for this?

Namaskar and thank you for your message..........I can try to answer

some of your questions the first being to have your free Rudraksha

and Gem Recommendations done according to your birth chart and in the

comment section place your inquiry regarding chakra and Holy

Rudraksha needed

 

then about the Holy Rudraksha seed germination........is my

unerstanding.........and it may be wrong.......that the outside

wooden bead needs to rot and weaken over time so that the seed inside

can be affected by the moisture and warm humidity and

germinate....The seed chamber itself is much stronger than the

outside wooden bead also..if you have cracked an already damaged bead

open you will see the difference between the regular woody part of

bead and the smooth seed chamber that is built like a shelter to

resist all intrusions short of the wood rotting in a humid water

atmosphere........thinking lots of water and humidity in Nepal

so recommendation I heard of at one time is to place beads in plastic

bag and add a couple inches of water and place bag in warm dark area

to start the process of waterlogging the wooden exterior of the

Bead..........so the object is to increase the water and humidity

surrounding the bead to 24/7 and then check the beads every other day

to see if anything is sprouting

 

there will be some air left in plastic bag as all you need is about

an inch or two of water in bag and then to place in a consistently

warm area for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to see if bead rot and

then will sprout a seedling

 

Then if and when sprouting takes place move bead with sprout with

root system to an aquarium with top covering and with special

lighting and place top of bead below ground level in

aquarium............about 6 inches of dirt can be used..........if

you have a small plastic flower pot the bead can also be placed in

this............and then place pot with bead in aquarium with half

inch of water in bottom of aquarium......cover aquarium top and this

will give humidity like in Nepal if you have a speial growing light

in aquarium top.......keep temperature warm and a lot of condensation

will form on aquarium glass....then let grow until you can put

outside........when put outside is best to surround it with 1/2 " wire

mesh so nothing can damage small plant......needs wire mesh on top

and all around.......and if you are in an area with gophers or other

underground animals you may wish to protect the bead by placeing

large wire basket in ground before you plant the seedling also
