Etisalat,(Public Sector Telephone Co.), Abu Dhabi, UAE, immediately require design and development IT software engineers with 3 to 4 years of Java and C++ experience. Employment is direct by Etisalat, open ended probably for a longer period. The first 6 months may be through contractor. Salary (basic+ spl. Allowance) uae dirhams 9000, HRA:Dh 6000 & Family status. Other benefits: Children educational fee reimbursement, yearly air tickets tickets for family, medical insurance and Visas. Possible yearly bonus is 3 to 6 months basic (trend for the last 3, 4 years) But the biggest drawback is the cost and non-availability of rented accommodation. Rents quoted /payable are on yearly basis. Rents over the last 2 years have soared 200%, 1 bed room apartments from 50,000 dirhams to 90,000 to 120,000 per year. 2 bed room apartment rents shot up from 70,000 to 150,000. For the monthly 6k HRA that the job entails, it is possible to get single shared accommodation in a single or 2 bed room flat. House rents are expected to start coming down after 2 / 3 years.
