Guest guest
Namaste Jose, warm welcome to this Group. Yes with time, rudraksha can turn very dark in color. Its partly due to our body chemicals and also the process of cleansing and oiling. Simple method for re-energizing rudraksha : Try washing your rudraksha bead again. Make sure its completely dry before oiling. Then place it on the altar. Take a bath. Offer some fresh flowers, incense and candle. Waft incense on the bead and recite mantra. The mantra is " Om Namah Shivaya " . Recite for 108 times if possible. Use a japa mala to count the repetitions. Each day before you put on the rudraksha, take a bath or shower. Then recite Om Namah Shivaya 9 times before putting it on. At night when taking off, recite the same. Then put the bead on the altar.
