Plea for sponsorship

Dear Datta devotees,

As you all know, Pujya Sri Swamiji is blessing the Baton Rouge/New Orleans area

with the Hamsanandi Raga Sagara concert on 17th April 2010. This is a concert

that comes to New Orleans by the divine Grace of Sadguru whose compassion for

humanity knows no bounds. The choice of New Orleans for this auspicious concert

is no casual event. It is the divine grace flowing from Pujya Swamiji to an area

that has been ravaged with a series of disasters such as Katrina ( the

destructive hurricane with an even worse aftermath). New Orleans was close to

being wiped off the US map and somehow survived, but is a long way from getting

back to normal. The not-too-good economic condition of the country is taking an

additional toll on this already struggling city, to say the least.

It is at this time that Sri Swamiji decided to infuse energy into this city of

thousands of badly affected people. The free concert is an attempt to make the

energy and blessings emanating from Pujya Swamiji's presence and performance

available to the public at large.

 

While the Datta temple is jubilant over this highly compassionate act of Sri

Swamiji, it is facing challenges to meet the expenses. The concert is

essentially free but due to the mounting costs involved (all involved systems

have to be nothing short of the best, such as the sound system, arrangements,

stage decor etc. with none other than Nada Brahma playing on the stage), Datta

Temple is seeking the support of one and all reading this plea. We request you

to sponsor the event. Sponsors will be recognized by issuing reserved tickets

closer to the stage during the concert. The view to be taken is, every sponsor

is helping other less fortunate and deserving public to reap the benefits of

this unique opportunity. Toward this end, Datta Temple is earnestly requesting

those interested in music for meditation/healing or just lovers of music to

support this event. Needless to say, such acts will carry benefits beyond our

limited perception..
