Guest guest
Jai Guru Datta I am receiving encouraging messages from many like minded fellow family members, so here is the sequel, which I was planning at that time itself. Before that, let me tell you this. After sending the email I was thinking that it has come out better than I thought, the last part. Immediately another flash came, and I smiled to myself that, our Lord, time and again reminds us, His presence. These years, my thoughts are getting better and better. Even in other areas. This is from the time I realized that, He loves me so much, that he decided that I am much in need of Him, takes a 'copy' of Himself (what is the better word?) embeds deepest inside my heart. (He was there right from the beginning, but that is another story.) (I must mention here that, I felt so tender, when the person, our Hanuman?, pleading 'Swamiji, please..please tell us, what is that secret... ' and the powerful force of love that followed in that youtube video) I read somewhere that ..(I think in the Bhakthimaala) 'man sometimes prides himself for flashes of brilliance in his thougfhg waves, but in effect, those were only coming out from God'... something like that) But I am of the view that, if God is (you know who our God is) if God is responsible for the good thoughts, who is responsible for the bad ones? Would that be Karma? Past vaasanaas? Thinking deep in this, only led to further thinking and it was not leading anywhere. so, I decided (as usual0 to hear from Him, an answer. From that time onwards, I realize that, I am getting more of the good thoughts and flashes. Sure, I still get bad thoughts, impossible to tell anyone, but good thoughts and brilliant flashes are more and more on the increase. And the quality, wow!, realy great. So, I think I am benefitted more and more just by that analysing. and side by side my material world is also in a way, getting better and better. Once I decided on the world being one big spirtual world, I am getting pleasure from every quarter. (And nickel and dime as well!) The night after I wrote that email, I was watching a movie, (I never thought I would be doing that, just one of those happenngs, where you do,something you never thought you would.) The character was saying about dividing a man's life by 7 stages and poetically describibg the 7 stages. ( I think that was Shakespere's...?) And also I remembered a film song by a very spiritual actor, about 8 stages in life. But when the life stages at age 12, 24...108 are considered, it is better near the very truth. Looks like we leave the stars and signs to experts and concentrate on the realistic things. That's what we do. The whole universe is the dream of 'Aadhiparaashakthi'. Let us work this out, this 'real' world with 'real' tools. Things we can'really' see with our 'real eyes'. The Lord is on our side. He was and He would be always. With that firm, lion of an heart, let us fight and finish this game. Thought the fight seems to be happenig outside, with outside forces, it is all done at anothe level, and with befriending our own clans, the five Chieftains. We can win over them and if you still consider them as enemies, better keep them closer. Jai Guru Datta. And about the 12, 24..108 stages, I will write another email. Right now I am off for another battle, another mission... Jai Guru Datta Ohm Aiym Hreem Shthreem Shivaraama Anagha Dattaaya Namaha!
Guest guest
Dear James Bond, JGD...Thank you for sharing your experiences. Your 3rd para " These years, my thoughts.....so, I decided (as usual0 to hear from Him, an answer. " is very interesting as I can relate to it and have a similar experience to add on to it. Back from Dallas after the Guru Poornima, I was meditating in my room on Sunday morning (July 11th). I was struggling with similar kind of questions you highlighted in your experience .I was asking Swamiji to answer my questions and give me strength to only foster positive thoughts. After a while I logged into Yoga Sangeetha/DYC website and noticed Swamiji's Bhajan program was being telecasted (I am 2hrs behind C.T, so missed most of the morning's program). Suddenly before starting the next bhajan, Swamiji asked all the audience to pray with him-- (I am paraphrasing here)- " let's all pray to Lord Hanuman to give us strength, good thoughts, devotion and forgive us for all the bad thoughts " . I wish someone recorded that message and posted it on you tube.. I still have long ways to go before experiencing the happiness that comes from only fostering positive thoughts. I hopefully can learn more from your experience and get a step closer to my goals. SGD Hari --- On Sun, 7/26/09, James Bond <makarameen wrote: > James Bond <makarameen > 12 year cycle.
