Guest guest
Sometimes we wonder if we can ever get to the other end? No matter how much one may know, hear about, read, or practice, one is ever far from that state of perfection and bliss in which all mental modifications cease, all efforts to 'become' something other than what we 'are' cease, and all doubts vanish. Better not to think about the journey ahead, and focus on the here and now, ....what is more desire-able than the desire-less state in which we give ourselves up, along with this whole business of 'self-effort'? It is only when we think of ourselves that we start this train of thought, when we forget ourselves, there is no scope for such thinking, only pure experiencing in which there is no contamination of " effort " or " I am doing this... " . It is in such moments of self doubt and rampant internal chaos and emotional conflict, that one feels the need to be in the proximity of the SatGuru to demonstrate to us once more ... the way in practice ...when there are no questions, only surrender of the very feeling of " I " and " myself " in those moments of concentration and pure silent effortless action. Swamiji Says: You will live a life of renunciation, having discarded the ego, love and exercise of power and authority, lust and hate and all objects of pleasure. You will then be at peace with yourself and the world. You will become worthy of God Realization. So far away it seems. No matter how ever much one may try, we are always just one moment away from being back at 'square one' it seems. Still, He says... One cannot achive the aims and objectives by renouncing the world and taking refuge in a forest. Persistent effort brings success in life. The question then arises, but when indeed will this seemingly infinitely tangled mind come to an end? In such times, one must take counsel in the fact that... The presence of divinity in the heart is the best object for meditation. The joy and happiness of the Supreme Bliss, Sath - Chith - Ananda can be attained through concentration and meditation. In such times, one should take counsel and lose ones self in the wisdom of the song " Mathi Bodha " in Nava Tattva... Jaya Guru Datta. Jaya Guru Datta.
