Donations for anything is regarded as good dharma, seva and karma. Its like the website you sent us about donating to a charity in India that cares for cows, give them food and a good home. Donations made to the 9 planets can help to pacify negative influences of malefic planets and make weak but benefic planets stronger in the birth chart. Anything to do with Navagrahas as a set (like a set of Navagraha idols or a Navagraha Yantra) or even a Navaratna pendant or ring can help balance all 9 planets.
