Guest guest
Dear Sai Devotees, We continue with Sumathi Satakam............. ---------------------- 17. O Sumati! Just as a stick of sugar cane starts off being sweet but then occasionally gets bland, friendship with a cheating, ill-charactered person starts off being sweet but always turns for the worse. The author is suggesting that we should constantly evaluate our friendships and how they are proceeding and then make adjustments accordingly; do not accept everything blindly. 18. O Sumati! Wise men have the skill of knowing what to speak when (based on the context) and find a way to speak such that no one is upset nor the self is upset. The author is suggesting that we all should learn the art of speaking that aids in progress of the situation rather than creating differences among folks thus slowing down progress – whatever the team may be working on. 19. O Sumati! Working for a boss that always finds fault with you, no matter how many good things you accomplish, is akin to a frog sitting under the hood of a cobra; the situation never turns out favorably for you. It is desirable to change the situation if you find yourself always unappreciated. 20. O Sumati! Just as frogs appear out of nowhere when ponds or lakes get full, relatives appear out of nowhere when you become prosperous. Beware! -------------------- OM SAI RAM! Never miss a thing.
