God resides in the heart, beyond the reach of external objects. Man today sheds copious tears for achieving wealth, health, position and fame. Does he shed a single tear for getting the grace of God or winning His love? Saint Purandaradasa sang, "Of what use are eyes that cannot see God?" You use your eyes all your life to see the external world. What do you achieve thereby? No one attempts to see the Unseen. The daily chores, eating and sleeping are repeated endlessly. But there is no yearning to see the Unseen Divine. It is only when you develop that desire will your life become meaningful. That alone confers peace.

Gott residiert im Herzen, jenseits der Erreichbarkeit äußerer Objekte. Der Mensch vergießt heute reichlich Tränen, um Reichtum, Gesundheit, Position und Ruhm zu erlangen. Vergießt er eine einzige Träne, um die Gnade Gottes zu erhalten oder Seine Liebe zu gewinnen? Der heilige Purandaradasa sang: "Wozu sind Augen gut, die Gott nicht sehen können?" Ihr benutzt Eure Augen Euer ganzes Leben lang, um die äußere Welt zu sehen. Was erreicht Ihr damit? Niemand versucht, das Unsichtbare zu erkennen. Die tägliche Routine, das Essen und Schlafen werden ohne Ende wiederholt. Aber da ist keine Sehnsucht, die unsichtbare Göttlichkeit zu erkennen. Nur dann, wenn Ihr dieses Verlangen entwickelt, wird Euer Leben sinnvoll werden. Allein das bringt Frieden.

Tuhan bersemayam di dalam hati sanubari yang berada di luar jangkauan obyek-obyek eksternal. Manusia banyak mencurahkan tenaga, keringat dan air matanya hanya demi untuk mengumpulkan harta benda, kesehatan, jabatan dan ketenaran. Lalu, apakah ia rela mencurahkan air mata guna memperoleh rahmat Tuhan serta cinta-kasihNya? Sadhu Purandaradasa menyanyikan syair berikut, "Apa gunanya mempunyai mata bila ia tidak dapat digunakan untuk melihat Tuhan?" Sepanjang hidupmu engkau menggunakan matamu hanya untuk melihat dunia eksternal. Apa yang telah engkau peroleh? Tak ada seorangpun yang mencoba untuk melihat yang tak terlihat. Sepanjang hari, aktivitas makan dan tidur dilakukan secara berulang-ulang. Tetapi tak ada yang berniat untuk mencoba melihat Sang Ilahi. Kehidupanmu baru akan memperoleh manfaatnya apabila engkau mengembangkan keinginan mulia itu, sebab hanya dengan demikianlah, engkau baru akan memperoleh kedamaian.

Dios reside en el corazón, más allá del alcance de los objetos externos. Hoy día el hombre derrama copiosas lágrimas para lograr bienestar, salud, posición y fama. ¿Derrama una sola lágrima por obtener la gracia de Dios o por ganar Su amor? El santo Purandaradasa cantó, "¿De qué sirven los ojos que no pueden ver a Dios?" Tú utilizas los ojos durante toda tu vida para ver el mundo exterior. ¿Qué logras de ese modo? Nadie intentar ver lo Invisible. Los quehaceres diarios, comer y dormir se repiten sin fin. Pero no hay anhelo por ver lo Divino Invisible. Tu vida se volverá plena de sentido, únicamente cuando desarrolles ese deseo. Sólo eso confiere la paz.
