Bhagwan's visit to Vellore Sri Saibaba Temple

We share an experience where Bhagwan demonstrated his love for his

devotees irrespective of the material wealth

 

February, 5th 1990:

 

BHAGWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA VISITED SRI SAI BABA TEMPLE,

KALASPALAYAM, VELLORE – 632001 IN SAGUNA FORM OR PHYSICALLY.

 

The visit:

The streets were too narrow for Bhagwan's car. It got struck while

negotiating a turn; Bhagwan got down from his car and walked a few

steps towards a smaller car that was accompanying his car from

Bangalore, to visit the temple.

 

The act:

Bhagwan visited the temple and consecrated the " Shirdi Baba Idol " .

He also lighted the Dhuni which is kept burning 24x7 or all 365

days. (Dhuni is also called homa kundam.)

 

Since March, 2000 Gayatri homam is being performed in this Dhuni on

5th of every month till date.

 

The Temple:

When swami visited, the three sides of the temple were used as a

municipal dump i.e. East, South & West. The temple then was only a

few months old. The walls were not even plastered but were nicely

decorated for his visit.

The above act of swami demonstrates his abundant love for his

devotees and incessant prayers of his devotees at Vellore Sri

Saibaba temple. This is a best example that swami looks into the

heart of devotees and not the external factors. We share this

information particularly to quell the misinformation that swami is

only for the rich

 

Temple Today:

Today the area has improved multi-fold after Bhagwan's visit. The

temple is the hub of spitirual activities like daily

omkar/suprabatham/abhishekam, bi-weekly bhajans & Veda Chanting,

monthly Sathyanarayana pooja, monthly Gayatri homam, yearly twice

homams on various deities; weekly Narayana seva, weekly Medical

camps, monthly Eye camps
