Sai-Satsang in 3 centers continued

(week ending 2nd Mar, Friday)

Sairam to all Children, Sisters and Sai Brothers

in all 3 Sai SatSanghs in Jubail, Dammam and Riyadh.

We continue with the fifth posting of the activities

of all 3 centers.

Summary:

1) Sai Devotees attendance in 3 centers exceeds 100

this week.

2) Grand musical farewell function to Bro Ravi Shankar

in Riyadh

3) 7 Farewell messages from SAI brothers in USA,

Dammam & Jubail

Details:

In Dammam the weekly satsang was held on the evening

of Wednesday 28th Feb, at the residence of Bro Safco

Ganesan. The attendance was about 28 members. It

started punctually at 8.00 pm and it was over by 9.10

pm. Aarti was taken by Bro R.S. Mani (father-in-law of

Bro Safco VaradhaRajan). Interestingly Tabla was

played by Hari & Abishekh, two young children who are

learning under Bro Sarathy. We wish the youngsters

well.

The study circle in Dammam was handed by Bro. Vinod

Menon in which Bro Raj Rajgopal from Riyadh was

present. This was held at the residence of Bro Jaggu

last Monday 26th Feb. Next study circle will also be

at Bro Jaggu’s residence at Rezayat village. However

there may be a gap of one or 2 weeks due to children’s

exams under way.

Jubail center held the weekly Satsang on the Friday

2nd Mar at 11 am that was attended by about 28 members

at Bro Vimal’s residence (Bhajan co-coordinator). The

next Bhajan will be held at Swamy Mahadevan’s

residence on Friday 9th March from 11 am. Bro Vimal is

the Bhajan coordinator and Bro Muthukrishnan is the

study circle coordinator for the Jubail center. They

are doing a great job (rather good service). Study

circle in Jubail will be held once a month.

Riyadh group held a (special) weekly Bhajan on

Thursday 1st Mar from 6.00 pm. till about 10.15 pm (

4 hours 15 minutes) followed by Bhojan. It was a full

house with more than 56 members. This was to give a

fitting musical farewell to Bhajan master Bro. Ravi

Shankar who will be leaving the Kingdom for good on

7th March to Tanzania (Africa). It was very good

musical session with over 40 bhajans rendered very

well. 8 members from Dammam were present in addition

to Riyadh members. Dammam center and Jubail center

presented mementos to Bo Ravi Shankar as a token of

their affection. Bro Ravi Shankar performed the

aarthi. We thank the lady volunteers for organizing a

wonderful Bhojan.

After the session and before the Bhojan 7 messages

received from outstation (USA, Dammam and Jubail) were

read out and these are re-produced below. “Yours

truly” summarized the meaning of these wonderful

messages from far and near as follows:

“These good-will messages to Bro Ravi not only reflect

on him but more so on his parents who have brought him

so well. It also reflects on his “Guru” who taught him

such wonderful skills at such a young age. After Bro.

Ravi became a “Grahastha”, his dharmapathni Sangeetha

also supported him to continue him sparing his

personal time for coaching all devotees thus truly

becoming the “better-half”. Finally our beloved Swami

has installed in Bro Ravi such true devotion that

during the last 3 years he has spared more than 500

hours each year to help all the devotees sing the

praise of our beloved Baba and thus move near their

liberation via the path of Bakhthi. So when we Thank

Bro Ravi, we also Thank the 4 pillars on which he

stands”.

Pl find below the 7 Goodwill-Farewell messages from

USA, Dammam & Jubail

1) " Raj Khanna " <khannark2003

Even though I have now left Saudi, I felt sad that

Ravi Shankar was leaving Saudi Arabia. He was the

heart and the soul of the Bhajan activity. However,

it must be Swami's will for Ravi Shankar to take care

of Tanzania devotees, after taking such good care of

us all in Saudi.

I admire his sincere devotion, hard work and

willingness to make singers out of us non-singers. I

shall cherish my memories of Bhajan practices into the

early hours of the week day mornings during his trips

to Dammam. He taught me to sing such difficult but

beautiful bhajans. I hope I will meet Ravi Shankar

again.

I wish him well.- Raj

2) " Niranathari Wimal " <wimal_nira

This is Wimal from Jubail; I also wish to add my views

and wishes towards Bro Ravi. Pls convey the same on

his farewell day. Since I want be able to attend for

the same. He is such a wonderful & blessed person

packed with full of energy to take part in any

activity apart of his genius musical talents. Which,

myself and all other members in Jubail have observed.

Specially in the Jubail annual day function. He

personally helped me a lot in the preparation stages.

I was interacting with him only for a short time.

During which, I found him as so energetic and

motivating personality. His courageous effort has

brought lot of Bhajan singers in Saudi Arabia. Which

of cause he is going to carry and continue where ever

he goes.

I also found him as a marvelous listener with enough

tolerance to make the singers comfortable. When ever

he conducts practice sessions, bhajans or give advice

about singing or even choosing the suitable bhajans

according to different singers, it reflects. which is

a unique quality for a person like Ravi.

He never discourages any single person for Bhajan

singing, which is also a specialty with Ravi.

I take this opportunity to wish him all the very best

in his endeavors. May god bless him and his better

half with full of happiness and good health.

3) " Rajen Tenkasi " <rajentenkasi

It was indeed an unexpected message that Bro. Ravi

Shankar is leaving the Kingdom. As Bro. Jaggu has

rightly pointed out that It is the wish of Our beloved

Swami that Bro.Ravishankar has to continue his Bhakthi

in Tanzania . We do not have an alternate at this

stage except to pray for his bright future and pray to

our swami to bless him with all the wealth, health and

prosperity of Bro. Ravi Shankar and his wife to

continue his marvelous deeds in Tanzania.

Varadhan and family

4) " Sreekumar " <vsskumar64

Mr. Ravi Shankar is in deed a dynamic person who

contributed best of

his efforts to Sai Organization in KSA. We would

really miss him..

Best wishes to Mr. Ravi & Family and prayers for their

well being...

SREEKUMAR.V. S /AL KHOBAR

5) " vinod " <vinodevi

We have been awed by his indefatigable energy and

devotional singing and

teaching of melodious bhajans. His infinite patience

and encouragement to

all to keep singing the names of our Lord on their

lips, was a joy to

experience. Surely Baghvan has decided that Tanzania

devotees need Ravi more than us in Saudi Arabia. May

our Baghvan bless Ravi and his wife, wherever He

chooses to send them on His Mission.

Vinod & Devi

Alkhobar

6) " Jagannathan " <jagannathana

I do not need to say anything more as every one has

expressed our thoughts about the sudden departure of

Bro Ravi Shankar. On behalf of the Dammam group I

would have to add that the Sai Group of Saudi Arabia

has lost one of its Nav Ratna and I pray to our

beloved Baghvan to find us a suitable replacement to

fill this huge gap.

We wish him and his fly all the best for his future

assignment.

Regards,

Jagu.

7) Swamy Mahedevan & " muthukrishnan ramamurthy "

We feel quite sad to lose company of Mr. Ravi Shankar

who has been instrumental in establishing Musical

Bhajans across all THREE Centers.

I personally was amazed at his Caliber and Stamina to

sit for hours together and anchoring Wonderful

Bhajans.

We, at Sai Jubail Center, wish him a Grand Success on

wherever he goes and a Happy Living to him and his

family, by SAI's Grace!!

With Regards,

Jubail Center.

Sairam and Pranams to all.

P.B.V.Rajan
