Same Japa mala but different mantras ?

Dear Narasimhaye,

 

Namaste,

Hope you are doing fine,

 

I have a doubt,I am using a japa mala with a

particular mantra for some time ( lets assume a year

or so ) and after that I decide to chant a different

mantra on the same japa mala for the same deity, as I

do not have another one, will there be any problems or

is it ok to do so?

 

If it is okay then also let me know if this will hold

true for different deities. I mean same japa mala but

a different mantra for another deity.

 

I know my doubts and queries are a bit peculiar but

neverthless they are doubts for me:-)
