Sarasvati, SriGuru Dattatreyaaya namaha.

Siddhi Buddhi Mahaayoga varaniyo ganaadipaha yasshvayam saccidaanadam

sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my Sadguru(True teacher) I bow who is

Himself Ganapati and Lord of Siddhi(spiritual acomplishment) and Buddhi

(intellect) which He attained by means of highest Yoga.

Yasha Dattaatreya bhaavo bhaktaanaam aatma danataha Sucyate

saccidaanandam sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my Sadguru I bow who is

the incarnation of Dattatreya and represents the Datta-principle as He

has given Himself to His devotees.

Yogaa jjyoti ssamuddiptam jayalakshmi nrshimayoh advayam saccidaanandam

sadgurum tam namaamyaham - to my sadguru i bow who is one without a

second and who was born as a united light out of the Yoga of

Jayalakshmi and Nrsimha.

YogaVidyaa chitraabhanum chitrabhanu saradbhavam Jnaanadam

saccidanadandam sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my sadguru i bow who took

birth in the year of citrabanu, the year of fire, who Himself is fire

destroying ignorance and giving wisdom

Ganesha Homerkadine nityam srichakra pujane dikshitam saccidaanandam

sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my sadguru I bow who took the vow to

perform Ganesha Homa every sunday and Sri Chakra puja everyday

Agasytamuni sankraanta naanaa vaidya durandharam bhavaghnam

saccidanandam sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my sadguru i bow who is

learned and who is very skillful in healing by various methods that

He got from sage Agastya, and who heals us from the disease of birth.

Vadyodancha ddivyanaama sankirtana kalaanidhim naadaabdhim

saccidaanandam sadgurum tam namaamyaham - To my Sadguru I bow who is a

mine of the art of praising the Lord's name and of playing fine

instruments along with it. He Himself is the ocean of sound (Nada).

Datta Pithaadipam dharma rakshanopaaya bandhuram Satkavim

saccidaanandam sadgurum tam namaahyaham - To my sadguru I bow who is

the Lord Dattatreya's dwelling (pitha) that was established to protect

Dharma and who excells by sheer erudition.

Vidhuta bhakta sanmoha mavadhutam jagadgurum svaashrayam saccidaanandam

sadgurum tam namaahyaham - To my sadguru i bow who is an Avadhuta who

has renounced everything and who is not depending on anyone or

anything, who is always in the state of bliss which enables Him to

dispel our ignorance.

Sadhutvam bhaktimaishvaryam daanam yoga marogataam sanmatim jnana

maanandam sadguru stavato labhet - All those who recite this prayer

regularly and with faith will attain gentleness, devotion, wealth and

fulfullment of desires, spirit of sacrifice, Yoga, health good

intellect and pure mind and blissfulness.
