JaiGuruDatta

Actually I have written this mail before reading the emails of 3 days.!

But I wish to share this anyway.

I have recently shared an experience here. That I have

received a long awaited ‘helping’ on 26th of May and remembered only

on 28th that, the day 26th is celebrated as His birthday.

I also have shared my joy with you all, thanking the Lord for His kindness and

being with me all the time, always remembering this little boy, even when he

forgets Him often.

I was wondering about that incident and tried to interpret

that as a lesson, but all I could come out with was, just wonder. Normally we

all think of giving suitable birthday gifts and His saying that our giving-up

of our bad habits is the gift that He would be pleased with. That’s true. But

let me come to that later.

I was wondering about the gift that I received on that day.

In this world, normally people give presents to those who are celebrating the

birthday. (Have I put it right?)

But here, on His birthday, our Lord gives a gift to a

devotee, who forgets that the day was celebrated as His birthday! Moreover this

devotee is not even celebrating that birthday.

Jai Guru Datta! Hallelujah! Whose birthday that is

celebrating? And who is celebrating whose? Whose birthday gift we all share!

Oh! Lord! Sweet IssaH! Thy name in these times is Ganapathi

Sachhidhananda!

Be it, as you please!

And to top it all, another thing happened the next week.

In the course of enjoying the gift, I had to fill out a form

to ‘consume’ the gift. After filling it out I suddenly remembered that I had

to

mention the date of filling that form. I had to write the date on top of the

form.

I started writing it. Only at the time of writing the date, I recollected that,

the date that is being written was actually mentioned as my own birth date, in

the membership forms that I had previously (last week) filled out!

Jai Guru Datta!

So, He gives me a gift on a day that is supposed to be my

birthday, which I never celebrate! There is a lot of ‘meanings’ here. But I

am

not wise or knowledgeable enough to understand anything here. All I could see

is His love for His children. His way of assuring that He is always with us. He

is in our heart, 24X7, only we tend to forget that fact.

There is a lot of things in the spiritual field, to know and

to understand. But my personal opinion is that, even in the spiritual field, it

would be better that we don’t increase our knowledge. Less the better. If one

wants to get the “That†all he got to do is to simply say ‘Jai Guru

Datta’ and

hold on to His feet tightly. All the so-called ‘knowledge’ is actually a

waste

of time. Interesting to read but they only make you confused in the final run

to the home base. Not only that. The more knowledge one acquires in that

fashion… they are all sorrows. Sorrows!

Be as simple as you can be. Whatever you are!

Carry ‘This whatever you are’ along with your intellect and

along with all these… And seek His feet and hold on to it. Never let it go!

That is salvation. That is Salvation. He takes care. He had

to. He has this promise to keep. From His mother. She is Aadhiparaashakthi. His

tradition is that. To keep-up the promise. Even if it comes to giving up one’s

own life. He is the Lord of ‘therinja kaikkolar’ who swears with his very

life

to save the lives of the ones who keep Trust in him.

I am saying a lot of things, which would be just babble, to some outsiders who

would read only with their eyes.

Actually this one doesn’t care and actually do two hoots for

all those.

But I am expressing my opinions only to those, who would

rather be a Simple Simon than a Smart Alex. Just hold His feet tightly and sink

hook, lead, float, line and stick. Jai Guru Datta Jai Guru Datta Jai Guru Datta

That’s all. That’s all to it.

He made us here. He will tell us.

He is so fond of us. He makes sure that we do what is right.

He would make sure what we think that right.

He who takes and absorbs the pains of the punishment, toward

the welfare of His children!

Oh! My sweet Lord! You suffer silently because, if we know

that you are suffering, we would feel some pain. So, instead of telling that

you are suffering for us, outwardly you scold us, your children. You tell us

not to worry about Your suffering for us and ask us to hand over more of

it. (Once He told this to some of the Ashramites. It is given in His Life’s

history).

Nowadays You say that you don’t take-in our sins, and say so

many things… but…

But still you continue to do this suffering for us. For our

sins!

Why Lord? Is it because you love us that much?

But are we really worth it?

You say that, to give you a birthday present…you told us…

one has to give up certain bad habits! Whatever we do, out of our

uncontrollable sensory pleasure-takings … these things actually are like

bringing the soiled feet inside our home and onto the carpet. And to the bed

itself.

But you suffer and clean all that. When we are of age, we

would not do it. But since we are only kids, we continue to pursue some bad

habits. The tough ones and really bad ones, with your help Lord, I have managed

to send away. Bye bye!  Some habits die

hard. And I find crafty excuses for still having them. Of course I have

narrowed the quantity to the barest minimum. (This is also a crafty excuse!)

But slowly and steadily, like in the past, you will help me

get rid of them. I know that. I have experienced that.

For you are the Father, for you are the Mother, and because

of you my Lord, the combination of all the things we love and cherish, we live

in content.

Ohm Aiym Hreem Shthreem Shivaraama Anagha Dattaaya Namaha!
