ABC = Always Be Careful

If you constantly cry out, “O God, most loving God’,

He responds by saying, “My devotee, My dearest

devotee.”

God has no thought other than of His devotees. If the

devotee always thinks of God, then God too will always

be thinking of the devotee. No one can come between

the two. You are young and have a long way to go.

Society is like a train, and all elders are bound to

get down soon, but you have yet to travel a long way.

So, keep your ‘compartment’ clean and have a

comfortable journey. Keep your goal in mind and be the

recipients of divine grace. Chant the Name of Rama

wholeheartedly. Install Him in your heart and sanctify

your lives.

Rama is present in every heart in the form of the

Atma. That is why He is known as Atma Rama. Atma is

changeless, and that is your true form. Develop the

faith that you are Brahma (Aham Brahmasmi). You may

exercise control over your food, but you need not set

any boundaries on your love. It should be given total

freedom. Love one and all. Love transcends the senses.

“All are mine. The life principle that exists in me

exists in everybody” With this feeling of unity, share

your love with everybody. Love alone can confer peace,

which everyone aspires for.

Remember, that Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Holy Q’ran,

Granth Sahib and other holy scriptures are not

intended for “Paarayana” – mere recitation. They are

meant for Aacharana practice. It is not a sign of

Bhakti – devotion, if one memorises all the 700 verses

of Gita or gives learned commentaries thereon. It is

only a proof of ostentation.

Today what the world needs are men of action – Aachara

Maanavas, and not men of words in human form – Aakara

Manaavas. We should remember that we should live not

for the sake of Annam – food, but for the sake of

Adarsham – ideal. Ideals are always supreme and

everlasting. If one person becomes an ideal, he can

influence the lives of many others for the better

It is better to live like a swan for one year to live

like the crow for hundred years. What is the inner

meaning of the first three letters, A, B, C in the

English Language? It menas “Always Be Careful”

The same dictum is given by the Upanishad by exhorting

a man to “arise, awake and stop not till the Goal is

reached”

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
