                                                   Jaya  Guru Datta

                                              Shree  GuruBhyo  Namaha

from last week:

the Feet of the Guru ( Guru Pada) alone have the capacity to let the being pass

the ocean of life separated from the dualities, sorrows and desires.

Pujya Sri Swamiji now gives the clue as to how one can rid oneself of the ocean

of life with the Grace of Guru.

this week:

" Dehi Brahma bhave dyasmaat tadidaanim prakaashaye

Sarva paapa vishuddhaatma Shri Guroho paada sevanaat " :

When one falls upon the feet of the Guru, and serves Him

his sins will be washed off and his mind gets purified. Then he

becomes part of the Godhead.

So the panacea (the universal remedy) is the service at the feet

of the Guru.

Now Sri Swamiji tells us as to how one can become a divine being,

in spite of possessing the body. The body in that case should become

a good  chariot.

The " house " of the being should become the " house " of divinity (a temple).

The being itself should become the house of Divinity (a Temple). The being

should become the liberated soul and Sri Swamiji now reveals the secret

proceedure for this to happen,to attain this state.

Preamble: Sri Swamiji emphasises on the service at the feet of Guru.

Now he proceeds with it's proceedure and also reveals the benefites we

reap out of it in the following verses:

" Guroho paadokam pitvaa dhrutva shirasi paavanam

Sarva tirthaava gaahasya sampraapnoti phalam naraha "

If one drinks the ablutions of Guru or sprinkles it on his head,

he derives the benefit of bathing in all the holy rivers. "

In the preceding verse " DEHI " stands for the person bearing the body.

here   BODY MEANS LUST AND RAGE

So one who is with lust and rage cannot be purified by ordinary bathing.

What should we do ? Lord Shiva is saying that whosoever " drinks " the

ablutions of Guru with devotion gets that purification of body.
