I find that it is one of my duties to respond to that email.

It is true that,chanting of this " OM Aiym,Hrreem,Shreem,Shivaraama anagha

Dattaayanamaha " builds up the feeling,realising the truth that our Lord's

presense in us.He is either inside us,or just sitting near us,or just looking

down at this monitor,from my back (at this hour!) or just looking from that big

pic hanging in that wall.(He looks away, just before myself look at Him)

The Lord , wants us ego free.In fact He likes the big egoed people very much.

For in them He finds challenge.Will Arjuna fight with Duryodhana?He would like

only the bow strings of Karna.

Our Lord, gets them, thebig egoed people,and makes them,very much aware of their

ego.He helps them to handle their Ego.As, Ego is actually a helper.Being a

psychoanalyst,I would never, try to say bad about Ego, the realized Ego is

actaully a great friend in this world (and next).

The chanting of Guru's mantra helps us to have a better control over our mind's

activities.It sure works like good brisk manymileswalking exercise, it works the

rest of the 24 hours.So,when we are in Nishtai, it helps us to know about the

reasons behind so many things, which trouble us, to find theanswers.Good and bad

things,the way we take it. Also about people,animals and our own selves.I say

selves, intentionally, our past births, that is what I mean.

And the Guru mantra chanting, after telling us so many things, brings us some

relief.Some finance,some relationship,some help,some answer, something comes our

way.It is 100% true.

And about chanting it:It is only the first few days,we have to make some

concious effort, then our Lord takes over, and sometimes, we would be surprised

to find that, while in the middle of doing something else, while THINKING some

thing else, we ARE chanting the mantra! The mantra is going inside the

brainwaves, like long remembered, LP record.

 

So, chanting of the Mantra is the easiest and most powerful way of getting the

things we want.I think the reason behind this is,Swamiji is chanting the same

and when we chant, it is as if HE is doing it on our behalf !

(Here it must be remembered that, thousands of Maharishis (discioples of our

Lord) say , " Thathaasthu " all the time,as the end word of the yagnas they always

conduct.)

 

I think that is the reason , we feel His presense and the mantra is so powerful

and easy at the same time for us, we the little kittens of the Lord.
