Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta! Just wanted to share with you a Navaratri blessing! I was walking a dirt road through the Arizona Desert yesterday and saw a strange rock embedded in the dirt. It did not look like the other rocks which are coarse and grainy. This one was smooth and a light peachy color. So I dug it out and brought it home with me, soaked it awhile, then scrubbed it clean, talking to it the whole while. It seemed to have a happy spirit living within it. I wasn't sure how to place it once it was clean so we tried a few things and then I realized it could stand on its own quite nicely if I set it a certain way. So with the rock drying on the stone ledge above my sink, I began to walk away. But I turned one last time to see it when all of a sudden I saw him... Ganapati... Lord of Obstacles staring back at me. My heart jumped. There was so much happiness with this realization, I wished everyone could see him! My camera has been broken and in Connecticut being repaired but by Lord Datta's grace it came back to me yesterday, too! So today I was able to take pictures of the little Ganesh rock and now I share it with you. I hope you enjoy him as much as I am!!!! Thank-you to Sri Swamiji! and Happy Navaratri one and all!
