“Jai Hanuman” Mantra Writing Yajna for Peace

Be honest how much will you write?

Paramapoojya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji in His visit to Trinidad,

earlier this year, appealed to all of us at the Dattatreya Yoga Center.

“Swamiji is coming here every year-- sometimes every 2 years. There are so many

different kinds of worship for Hanumanta. Progress will come to this country

(Trinidad & Tobago) through Trinidad Hanumanta*. He is ready to give Darshan to

the whole world.

Write “Jai Hanumanta” as a mantra writing yajna and count how many names. We

want millions of nama yajna. I hope and I believe you are giving support to this

one. We need this for Caribbean countries. This Planet needs such a Japa

Writing yajna. I am giving order, request…I know the whole world suffering not

only Trinidad. So more and more pray to Hanuman. Hanuman is the weapon to get

good shakti and good vibration.”

Likhita Japa: For those who are new to Writing Japa:

To write down your Mantra is another powerful form of Japa. Write your mantra

over and over again. Automatically you will repeat it mentally while you write.

Fix your eyes on your notebook without looking elsewhere. Sit in silence

(Mouna). Commit to a certain number times to write your Mantra. Do not allow

yourself to be interrupted. Like all acts of bhakti or devotion, it is a

sacrificial giving-up of the personal, so that something better and higher might

take its place. Like a song sung from heart to heart, it implores to please and

as such transcends the limits of our mortality even before pen touches paper. By

its very intent, it beseeches a force greater than our own. Hence, its power is

not that of the artist. May we say that it belongs to God!

This is not a new method but Swamiji has found it effective for these modern

times.

We know that some sadhus do " likhita japa " (mantra writing) daily and offer

the numerous pages filled with their mantras to the waters of a holy river such

as the Yamuna or the Ganges. Others worship those written mantras on their

altars along with their murtis. The practice of likhita japa is meant to fix the

mind on one's own worshipable Deity or Ishta.

Now we are focused on “Jai Hanuman”, for the sake of our families, country and

region. We invite everyone to join in this Likhita Japa Yajna and pledge to make

your country and the world a better place by joining under Sri Anjaneya and

helping to fix the problem. Think that we can make the world a better place, by

doing our bit.
