Namaste Narasimhayeji and Chandanji, With all due respects and my heartiest regards, please correct me if I am wrong. There is a certain amount of Friendliness and Enemity between the Gemstones of various planets. Gemstones of Jupiter, Sun & Mars are friendly with each other. Same for Saturn, Mercury and Venus. However those of the 1st group should not be mixed with the second one, due to possible harmful effects. Forefinger is ruled by JUPITER - Guru, hence Yellow Sapphire, Citrine, Golden Topaz is worn here. Middle finger is ruled by SATURN - Shani, hence Blue Sapphire, Lapis, Amethyst is worn here. Ring finger is ruled by SUN - Surya, hence Ruby, Coral (Mars is friendly with Sun) is worn here. Little

finger is ruled by Mercury - Buddh, hence Emerald is worn here. Now the Question of VENUS - Shukra, the THUMB is ruled by Venus. But we do not wear anything on the thumb, so we have to wear a DIAMOND or ZIRCON on the finger ruled by the friends of VENUS, which are SATURN & MERCURY, i.e. Middle Finger or Little Finger. Hardly anyone wears a diamond in the little finger and so what remains is the MIDDLE FINGER, where many people wear a Blue Sapphire surrounded by Tiny Diamonds, to have the BEST of Both. Nevertheless I have seen most of the people recommend to wear a Diamond in the Ring Finger, especially the Diamond Engagement Ring is always worn in the Ring Finger. Also it is recommended by some people, that if a Man wears a DIAMOND on his Ring Finger he never suffers from Impotency and if at all he is suffering from it, he gets cured
