Namaste Anil,

Its great to hear you're going to have your Personal Mala re-strung

so as to have all the beads from 1 mukhi to 12 mukhi.

1) No, your existing beads will not be affected in any way when

handled by Rudra Centre's artisan who is highly religious. Regarding

customs in the Gulf, maybe if you can request RC to write on the

declaration form that the contents are a " Birthday Gift " or other

gift, it may be ok. The other thing to note is the total worth of

the item, i.e. if its not of high value over a certain amount of US

dollars, it should also be quite ok. Its important not to mention

anything that is of religious use when sending parcels to the Gulf.

2) There is no difference whether a mala is strung with silver

capping or worn on a red silken thread or cord Unless a person is

Mangalik. In the case of Mangalik persons, its best to wear silver

or black thread, not red.

You are always welcome Anil :)

Om Namah Shivaya
