Guest guest
SAI RAM Dear Brothers and Sisters, A member, has sent a personal mail to this humble self, with a condition that his identity should not be revealed, stating, " most of the members delete your postings on seeing your name .They neither open nor read your postings. You seem to be wasting our time. You may like to take note of this . " This humble self concedes that there is no compulsion to read any posting in the . Members are at liberty to deal with the incoming mails in any manner they like. Deleting a mail after reading it or deleting it even without reading is their fundamental right. It would be foolish on the part of this humble self to expect that all members should show the same level of interest towards all postings. Likes, dislikes, preferences, prejudices etc. etc. towards somebody`s postings arise out of IGNORANCE---ignorance of the fact that our beloved Bhagawan Baba is behind all these postings. The real author of all the postings is Baba Himself. The name of the person in whose the posting appears is just an instrument of Swamy. Personally, this humble self would be glad if the name of person making the posting can be hidden or concealed by the webmaster, while listing the postings. Nevertheless , let us learn to see SAI in everything and being. This humble self has not been submitting the postings for the sake of his own self. The postings on this subject has been taking place at the behest of a member. This can go on only with the blessings of our beloved Bhagawan and as long as He wants it to appear. As the long as the flow of thoughts and dictations are coming from the Lord, these postings can appear. This humble self is not labouring under any misconception that each and every member of the members avidly reads all his postings and is very much alive to the fact that the postings emanating from him will be subjected to the " Delete " button starightaway. Probably, many members might be happy if these postings are stopped forthwith. With these few thoughts this humble self would like to resume his understanding on purification of mind unless other members also want this to be stopped. Impurities can affect the mind only when it is awake. When the mind does not function as in deep sleep or when absorbed in deep meditation (samadhi), the play of the qualities mentioned in previous postings is not experienced by us at all. These qualities belong to the mind and intellect and not to the Atma. We think that these impurities and their consequent mental disturbances are real, but in fact we are ever free from them. They exist only when the mind is functioning. This does not mean that we should have a non-functioning mind or that we should keep it absorbed at all times in the sleep-state. However much, we may like to, this is simply impossible. Since neither sleep nor absorption of the mind in the Self ( nirvikalapa samadhi) is possible at all times, this non-functioning of the mind is not a viable solution! And too much sleep is only escapism! (to be continued) With Loving SAI RAMs, G.Balasubramanian
