There was an International Basketball Match in Puttaparthi between India and Sri Lanka. Which was held in the Indoor Stadium. The match was won by the Indian Basketball Team. There were some other dance programs during the event. Students of all the Sri Sathya Sai Institutes and VIP's were the viewers of this wonderful Match. Swami blessed the players and saw the match too.

Whatever learning one may acquire, whatever positions of authority one may occupy, however great one may be, if one lacks human values, one cannot be called a human being at all. What is humanness? Essentially, it means unity of thought, word and deed. When one's thoughts are at variance with what one says or does, one ceases to be human. Today, what men have to cultivate is unity and purity in thought, word and deed. True human qualities can grow only in a heart filled with spiritual aspirations; seeds should be sown in fertile soil and not on a piece of rock. Hence, to develop these qualities, men have to develop compassion and equanimity amidst the vicissitudes of life.

Wahre menschliche Qualitäten können nur in einem Herzen wachsen, das erfüllt ist mit spirituellen Bestrebungen; Samen sollten in fruchtbarem Boden gezogen werden und nicht auf einem Stück Felsen. Qualunque sia il livello di conoscenza che può essere acquisito, qualunque sia la posizione di prestigio che si può occupare, per quanto grandi si possa essere, se mancano i valori umani non si potrà essere assolutamente chiamati esseri umani. Cos'è l'Umanità? Essenzialmente significa unità di pensiero, parole e azioni. Quando i pensieri di qualcuno differiscono da ciò che dice o fa, si finisce di essere un essere umano. Oggi ciò che l'uomo dovrebbe coltivare è unità e purezza nei pensieri nelle parole e nelle azioni.
