Namaste Anil, like all sacred items, yantras are also beneficial for

wearing. They have the same effect when kept on the altar (yantra

plates) or when wearing (yantra lockets). Depending on what yantra

and the person's situation, they may select one or more for the altar

and one for wearing.

Sweat and other physical chemicals only affect the surface of the

yantra but not the yantra per se. Yantras are mystical diagrams

representing deities, etc and once energized, they can be worn or

used for quite a period of time before requiring the next puja or

pranprathisthana. Sweat, dirt, etc, can be cleaned off by using

soapy water or gently wiped off using a good metal polish.

In the case of a person wearing a rudraksha mala and yantra together,

usually the yantra locket is positioned as the centre piece of the

mala and hangs below the rudraksha, hence its not likely to rub

against the rudraksha.

If the yantra is worn separately on another chain, it best to either

shorten the chain or make it longer.

Either way, it does not affect the efficacy of the yantra locket.
