Namaste Narasimhaye and all members, Let me put down some basic questions regarding rudrashaka which has created confusion and I am leaving this to the group of learned seniors. Rudrashka as I understand is the name of the dark berries of Elaeocarpus. Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree which grows in the area from the Gangetic Plain to the foothills of the Himalayas. Rudraksha trees are also found in middle areas of Nepal. Rudraksha is used for treatment of various diseases in traditional Indian medicine and has medicinal value which will help in healing certain diseases, but still not sure how it help in changing one's fortune/ karma/ dosha....... Is there any relationship between rudraksha and planets? I have seen recommendation from members in this group informing use certain beads for specific "maha dasa" and for specific issues in there horoscope. I have even seen people recommending some rudrasha since some planets are not in a good position in that individual’s horoscope. Which is the authentic book which details this? If Rudrasha was formed from the tears Lord Shiva then it should be related to only Lord Shiva and how each mukhi in that rudrasha is related to different gods and planets? [The beads show variation in the number of grooves on their surface, and are classified on the basis of the number of divisions which they have (mukhi)] Now I have even seen people relating mukhi'S up 22 and more. Is there any scripts which describes this. Can any one share this. Please advice. Namashivaya
