Guest guest
Namaste Saravanan, sometimes what seems to be fine hairline cracks are tiny fibre lines that may have come off the 'mouth or tail' ends of beads with the passage of time. Its essential to wash and dry rudraksha once in a while. After washing and drying thoroughly, dip a soft toothbrush in oil of your choice and apply to the beads. This will help maintain the lustre and life span of rudraksha that can be passed down generations. For Nepal beads, as they grow in high and moist altitudes, they need water and coolness from time to time. When they are not in use, they can be put in the refrigerator in a sealed box for a little while until the next use. This is especially for those who live in hot, humid climates. Your beads are not affected. The power and benefits will not diminish, don't worry. If the cracks are big, such as in one of the mukhi sides or face, then the bead should not be used any more. Otherwise, its fine. Aum Namah Shivaya , " sooriyadharma " <vananx wrote: > > greetings to all, > I have noticed that there are fine hairline cracks > on my rudrakshas around the hole of the bead.
