Making Sri Lakshmi as a partner in your prosperity.

 

This form of worship is as taught by Sri Harish Johari author of

several books on Astro gemology, ayurvedic cooking Etc. He is a well

known Tantrik and good friend of mine.

 

This is as taught by him, practiced by me and several hundreds or

even thousands of people in US and outside India. Always produced

great results. (I say this without any hesitation).

 

The first part most will agree, but the second part of the worship

is where some have problems with.

 

This can be done on any Friday or Thursday at " Go Dhulika

lagnam " .That is done either in the time of sun rise or sunset.

Every thing worn is yellow including the clothes the worshippers

ware and the cloth on which either the Vigraha or Yanthra is placed.

The picture of the Sri Laksmi should have 2 elephants with tusks up.

The elephants should be at the leg level and not high up. The Sari

color of Sri Lakshmi is again yellow. This picture is difficult to

obtain as most of the pictures Sri Sri Lakshmi is shown wearing Red

sari. (I used water colors or Photoshop).

 

The first part is simple, read any strotra you like , like Sri

Lakshmi ashtotaram or Maha Laksmi asthatakam, offer incense and

Naivedyam of Gudannam( Rice cooked with Jaggery and ghee).(Gudanna

priyayi Namah(lalitha sahasra namam)

 

The reasons as far as I can remember is that Yellow is the symbol of

wealth and purity and of some chakra color. An elephant represents

strength and muladhara Chakra. If one does not have a good base or

root chakra he will not have charisma and the ability to command and

generally not wealthy.

 

The second part.

 

This is one some people have problems with.

Write on a piece of paper all your assets i.e. Sthirasthi and

charasthi (lands, houses, stocks, jewelllery, present income from

salary of business etc)

 

Say to Sri Sri Lakshmi " This is all yours " for each Item (Idam Na

mama)

" Every thing is yours and nothing is mine I am only a custodian " .

 

Make a commitment any additional income you get than present you

will happily spend a percentage as a charity to the needy. (This is

not giving money to some temple or one wife sister in law or to some

relatives).

 

Make an honest agreement with your heart and fulfill commitments

every month after checking your finaces.Usually people herein USA

make it 5 to 10 percent of extra gains.

 

90 % is yours to keep why stingy?

 

Some Ideas are feeding deaf and dumb, blind people giving money to

old age homes, funding pretha dahanam (cremation expenses for the

poor etc.

 

One year I went to India and I saw the place where my father was

cremated. Pigs and dogs were roaming in that place I told them and

my friends I will fund constructions of platforms for burning the

body, a shed, A room for the people to change cloths after dahana

karma kanda and taking shower Etc.

Even my good friends said give it to some temple. And thought they

never heard of it.

 

I did not listen to them

 

I asked a friend of mine to collect some information. He found a

couple of slokas which says by building a burial ground and helping

people pretha dahanam (final rites) Kethu and some other plants will

be pleased and give many boons.

Then few others came forward.
