Namaste Taj,

Nice to know you are enjoying all the messages here. The answer to

your questions are:

Before engaging in 'spousal relations', its adviced to remove

rudrakshas and place them on the altar in the puja room. After that,

have a bath or shower before wearing them again.

In the mornings after waking up, its also advised to wash the person,

then recite Om Namah Shivaya 3 or 9 times before putting on

rudrakshas.

Very strict Hindus and certain Brahmins will always remove their

rudrakshas before going to the toilet if they can help it. In case

of emergency and they can't remove in time, they place the beads

outside the toilet before entering. After the toilet, they wash

their hands thoroughly. Others from certain traditions such as

Tantrika, Natha, Aghora and Smarta Hindus (Liberal Hindus) do not

observe the rule of taking rudrakshas off before toilet but they do

cleanse their hands properly afterwards.

Om Namah Shivaya

to ask what do the holy texts say about wearing rudraksha and having

sex? Should one remove before getting involved in such activity? and

then put back on? And what about bathing and going to toilet?
