Dear SBOI Members in Puttaparti

Sai Ram to you all. I urge you to read the story at the firethegrid,org website for the full story, it really is incredible.

My take on this is: Swami has said that if He wasn't taking on the negativity from the planet, it would collapse. So, if we all pray on the 17th July perhaps we can relieve the burden on our beloved Swami's suffering body, and perhaps produce a healing there. He tells us that we create His body, so perhaps we can use this occasion to send love and healing to our earth which, after all is Swami's manifestation. He says 'Nature is My vesture.'

Of course, it is not the long-term answer because, as Baba said many years ago, if He waved His Hand and instantly cured us, we would only commit the same errors again because we haven't changed ourselves. He has been saying, since the 1960's, that we are listening to His Divine Discourses, but we are not putting His teachings into practice. But perhap, in the short-term it will relieve Swami's body and 'buy' us time to change. And who knows, maybe there could be some healings of the attitudes of mind that created the problem in the first place? Remember the peaceful passing of Communism in Russia and Europe in the 1980's? Then too, there were many global link-ups for prayers and mediation for some years before that happened and this person is quite convinced that those loving prayers and meditations was one of the reasons that it all went so peacefully. There is something inspiring, humbling and supremely uplifting to take part in such activities; a reminder that we are all, ultimately, all ONE.

With that in mind, I am trying to organise a meditation group for the 17th July at 4.41pm local time in Shanti Library Meditation Room. as part of the global link-up for Planetary healing.

I have taken print-outs from the Fire The Grid site and placed them in Shanti Library and Eco-Nut restaurant. There is a sign-up sheet on the notice boards in both places. The reason I have placed sign-up sheets is because Shanti Library Meditation Room has limited space, so if a large number of people want to attend, a larger venue will have to be found. I propose to collect the sheets by 15th July to assess the space required, based on the number of respondents.

I am hoping that Swami will inspire a good number to come and send love and healing to our suffering Mother Earth.
