Namaskar Siddharth,

Its good that you already wear rudraksha. They would have assimilated

with your personal energies by now. When you add higher mukhi beads

such as 10, 12, 13 and 14, you will be able to wear them comfortably.

It is all right for Gauri Shankar to be at the base of your mala. Its

not necessary to have it at the spine - this is mainly for those who

undertake chakra or kundalini meditation.

The number of rudrakshas in a mala important or any count are just as

fine. There is no right or wrong choice when it comes to selecting

and wearing rudraksha. Rudraksha do not have side effects.

If you want to add your existing beads to make an Akarshaya Mala, its

best to discuss it with Rudra Centre and ask them to check your beads

to make sure they are all fine.

Then you can add the missing mukhis like 10, 12, 13, 14 and maybe the

Ganesh bead. You can also discuss the design with Rudra Centre. If

you live in India, you can send your mala to them by courier.

An 'ordinary' mala is usually considered japa mala which we use for

counting mantras. The malas with mukhi beads are not so ordinary as

they symbolize Personal Malas. Each mukhi bead of a Personal Mala is

ruled by a deity. Each mukhi bead of a Personal Mala is also

governed by one of the 9 planetary lords.

Both Personal Malas with beads to minimum 14 mukhis with Gauri

Shankar + Ganesh Rudraksha, and Akarshaya Malas are similar in

power. Though recently we have lots more members/friends of this

Group obtaining the Akarshaya Mala and attesting to its powers.

Om Namah Shivaya

powerful? What is the difference between an ordinary mala and

akarshaya mala?
