Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rajiv Prabhu, Namaskar, I read your message with interest and would like to add just my two cents' worth: Solaji first wrote about this topic and mentioned that the method for worshipping Laxmi was taught by Shri Harish Johari who is one of India's foremost traditional and genuine tantrikas, and who is also author of many good books. Solaji is a friend of Shri Harish Johari and hence learnt the method from him. Regarding whether we can find references in holy texts that Laxmi wears yellow in the abovementioned way of worship, I can only guess it may be noted in Tantric Texts (they are all different from North to South India). If not in Tantric Texts, then the method would have been one of those that are taught by Guru to Shishya. The rest, I'm sure Solaji will be able to enlighten us. On the contrary Lord Venketeshwar of Tirupati Balaji does need our assistance and in the texts it is clearly mantioned that if we donate to Him, He will definitely bless us. One can donate in any temple in His name and he need not go to all the way at Tirupati for making such donation. Believe me I know lots of people who have been greatly benefitted and blessed by Srinivas the Lord Venketeshwar who has made Him as their business partner. > The story in brief goes as follows: > Lord Venketshwar a incarnation of Lord Vishnu wanted to marry Padmavati and He had to take a very big loan from Kuber to solmnise the marriage, as He didnt have money for that. It is said that the donations in Kalyuga in Tirupati temple would be just enough to pay the interest on the loan amount given by Kuber. So you will see very very big clout of businessmen has made Him their partner in the business and donate the profit generated by the company at the temple in His name. > Now the question arises why not Laxmi would help Lord Vishnu in clearing His debts. The answer is very simple, as per the Texts once Lord Vishnu had some arguement with the Laxmi and Laxmi left Him and at the same time She told Vishnu also that you will not get even a penny for even eating. Now Vishnu was in a big problem and then this story of Lord Balaji Happened which I had mentioned above. > In this I want to further add that when Laxmi came to know about the marriage of Venketshwar with Padmavati she became very angry and came there furiously and was very annoyed. Now both Laxmi and Padmavati had a fight which made Lord Vishnu so sad that He converted Himself in a stone and this converted stone murti is now the present Tirupai Balaji, Lord Venketshwar. > But His loan however continued and that is how Lord Venketshwar is blessing the devotees who are helping Him in returning the loan to Kubera. So the relevance of Lord Venketeshwara making a partner is more relevant. > We must understand the point whether it is Laxmi or Lord Venketshwar, ultimately the moral of the story is to take pout some portion of our savings for donation to the needy and poor people. > I would also want to make a point here that Laxmi dressed in Yellow and blessing devotees is also I have not read in any Text Mahadev. My humble request to you Prabhu is that I will be extremely thankful to you if you can just tell me from which Text you have taken this reference. > On the contrary in Hindu religion yellow cloths are worn by those ladies who sits in Kop Bhawan during few days of the month. > Goddess Laxmi always blesses the devotees dressed in Red. This is Her colour. On Diwali festival we always worship Red cladded Laxmi and it is said that Laxmi visits all devotees who worship Her on this auspicious day. > Mahadev I would be very grateful if you too share your views about prudence of making Laxmi a partner or Lord Venketshwar. And why only laxmi just because She is Goddess of Wealth, and we want to please Her, when actually all wealth in the universe is Hers, then what wealth we sharing with Her Prabhu when all is Hers??? > > Aum Namah Shivaye, > Rajiv Krishna Dasa > >
