Sai Ram Brother,

I am indeed grateful for your clarification. I find many times the members are immune to anything said in this forum. I raised this point as I heard some devotees telling me that Swamy has advised against consuming onion. I must admit that you are the only one who seems to be reading my postings and providing answers to my query. I have myslef given all the the arguements in favour and against consuming onion in my postings. Sexual desire is covered by " Rajasik Properties " in my posting. But all these could not cause any reactions from any member excepting you. Many thanks for your clarification. LET THE YAHOGROUP FRATERNITY KNOW ONION IS A HEART HEALTHY FOOD. It is also the poorman`s vegetable. Otherwise why should all governments play the onion game? I now close from my side further dicussions on this topic.

Sairam I could see yr. mail only today and Iam immediately responding to it. Shiridi sai or Sami never prohibited eating onions. I donot know whoever had told you regarding onion have no deep knowledge of sairam either shiridi or parthy. Infact Shiridi sai takes onion even on the auspiciou days like Ekadasi etc. In satcharitha He even dares Mega the Brahmin by telling that he who can digest onion can take it always. However our ancestors kept some restriction on these items as they tend to stimulate sexual desire when taken frequently. That is only reason I find in this. I hope this will satisfy you.

in sai service.

SAI RAM Dear Brother,

Glad to see your comments. Unfortunately this forum has not been used for active exchange of views as desired by you. Only a handful number of people make regular postings in this forum. Rarely the postings are commented upon/appreciated by other members of the group. Clarifications/supplementary information/ rectification of mistakes by other members are rare. We get an impression that the postings go unread by other members.
