Guest guest
Namaste Pramod, the head mostly has a bigger and smoother hole than the tail (big beads). In tiny beads (japa mala beads), the head is also bigger. The tail part is where the grooves end and the hole is mostly smaller although some Collector Size beads have wider holes at the tail due to natural formation of the beads itself.
