Guest guest
I'm not advocating that we do 'nothing' about the situation... only that we need to reassess the situation, and find appropriate solutions to real problems. The greatest problem today is that parents are not conveying the importance of Hinduism to their children. Fuirther, they themselves don't follow very well - and cite that one must be " practical " . What more can be said? As a result, children are growing up confused and uncertain as to what to believe. I'm not advocating that you forcefully baptize them into Hinduism or any such thing. But you must train them to participate in spiritual things. To read more on spiritual things. To read the bhagavad gita as often as possible, and to turn to it for solutions, as often as possible. Spirituality is a journey of the individual - but by setting examples and being the change we want to see in the world, we will have done our part in ensuring the survival of that dharma. It is said: Dharma protects those who protect dharma. The meaning of this is simple - do your dharma according to your dharma - and lead by example - when others who are in doubt think back - they will remember you and your simple dharma - and it will inevitably lead to them also following the dharma that you guarded for yourself. No further advice is necessary on your part. Just do. Just follow. Swamiji always always takes care of the details - better than you or I are capable. As to whether Sanatana Dharma will live on or not, i've addressed this aspect in my previous email. As long as the Saints/Sages/etc. continue to take birth in India, ...the Sanatana Dharma cannot die. It is this alone that has kept it alive for so many centuries, through many foreign rulers, through many catastrophes both natural and man-made.
