Guest guest
Namaskar Sundeep, pls see answers below: a) Rudraksha beads remain with the same energies even if not soaked in oil or treated properly. But its best to maintain them regularly with oil so they don't dry out or lack lustre. Its fine that you left them in soapy water for a few hours as this would have helped to remove grit and dirt. Indeed some rudraksha will change color and become darker but this is fine. It was also a good idea to let the water from Rudra Abhishek fall down to your mala as this holy water sanctifies the mala further. When the mala is fully dry, apply some oil. When rudraksha beads and malas are maintained this way, they will be effective always. b) Its preferable not to wear someone else's rudraksha mala even after Rudra Abhishek has been done. A mala, once worn by another person, would have aligned or assimilated with the other person's energies. As each one is an individual, its best to get our own personal malas for wearing, worshipping or reciting mantra. Few months back I by mistake left my mala in soap water for few hours, which made them change their colour. Immediately realizing my mistake thereafter, I soaked them in oil to bring back their colour, as well as recently worshiped them during Rudra Abhishek by keeping them below Shivling, so that what ever wash with panchamrit was provided to Shivling, also falls on my mala. Is their a way to know, if my rudraksha mala is still effective? > Is it OK to wear mala originally worn by someone else after providing a proper Rudra Abhishek, as I read somewhere that once the mala is worn by someone, it always belongs to the same person even if not being worn? > I will really appreciate if one of the learned members can shower some light on this. > > Thanks....Sundeep > > > > Get easy, one-click access to your favorites.
