Guest guest
Dear Sai Bandhu Ranga,Sai Ram. Thanks for clarification and it is Sai Maharaj who inspires and gets these projects done. We are mere instruments in His hands. Just as He inspired Shri Anna Saheb Dabholkar and gave him the title of Hemadpant and blessed him and got the Satcharita written, He will no doubt get this work done too.Sai Ram.Swamygumbhirumbhi <vemuri.ranga wrote: Sairam, Thank you Swamy garu for the clarification of my email. Indeed, once transliteration is done, in fact it would great to merge it with a translation so that both can be read together (just as you can read other great books like Ramayanam and Bhagavatam in Sanscrit along with the tatparyam - meaning - of each sloka). BTW, I am familiear with both Mani Amma's translation and Swami Achalanda's translation - both have done a great job. Likewise the English translations of both Indira Kher and Zarine are very good, each in its own way. With my humble pranams to all of these great deveotees and translators and inspite of my lack of knowledge of Marathi, I instally fell in love with the rythmic sweet sweet rendition of Hemad's ovis that succeed in capture immense breadth of thought in these simple, short stranzas. I would encourage all Sai devotees to try and read a few ovis from the original if they know how to read Devnagari (Hindi) script. You will see what I mean. (Of course, the Marathi original is also available at saileelas.org as well as at the Srirdi Sansthan website). Please I request everyone to read the "transliteration" being proposed in my email and volunteer your time if possible. Ranga. , Swarna Venkateswara Swamy <truthseeker123x wrote: > > Sai Ram. While thanking you for the link, I think you misunderstood what he was asking. Mani Amma's book is a literal translation of the Marathi Ovi (there is another translation by Swami Achalananda Saraswati also and there could be some more). What Sai Bandhu Ranga wants to do is to transcript the original Marathi Sai Satcharita into telugu script (like this: Meeru Bagunnara? is telugu typed in english). > > By Sai's inspiration, I propose to merge these two projects. Once Sai Bandhu Ranga succeeds in getting the original Marathi ovis typed in telugu, we can add the translation (with permission from Mani Amma) also so that Sai devotees can enjoy the beauty and also understand the Satcharita. > > I would have volunteered for the work but I will be free only after July 2008. And as per Sai Maharaj's orders, I am presently engaged in presenting "Spiritual Gems from Sri Sai Satcharitra" based on Sri Gunaji's english translation, which I had the good fortune of doing parayana several times. These articles are being published in two forums: > > Glory of Shirdi Sai ezine published every alternate Thursday by www.saidarbar.org (presently Chapter 28 is going on) > > http://living.oneindia.in/yoga-spirituality/anecdotes/sai- satcharitra/ > > (presently Chapter 23 is going on) > > If Sai permits, I would be glad to offer the same here too. Once all the chapters are completed, I propose to bring it out as a e-book and offer it free to all SAI devotees. > > In any case, I wish Sai Bandhu Ranga all the best in his endeavours. > > Sai Ram. > > His servant, > > Swamy > > >in search of truth and with prayers to Govinda to help reach that goal in this life itself, and with best wishes to you that your goals may be reached, yours sincerely, Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
