The mind is like the lake manasasarovara, where the 'devatas' and others come to

take their bath. It is in this sanctum sanctorum that the Saints maintain

Ashramas. This lake of the mind, sits at the feet of Lord Shiva, near the top

of Mount Kailasa.

 

If the mind is stilled, life is stilled. No disturbance. Protect/Still the

mind by practice (abhyasa) - do not let thoughts disturb its innate tranquility

- and allow the vibrations of the feet of Lord Shiva to permeate it.
