Guest guest
Prasanthi Bulletin Index of earlier Bulletins Tuesday, February 17, 2009 Many sadhus from the Nilgiris region have come on a three-day pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam along with the residents of the hills of Ooty. Today, they presented a 'Brindavan folk dance' in Sai Kulwant Hall. The centre of the hall had a large backdrop of Krishna dancing with the gopikas. Bhagawan arrived for darshan at 4.40 pm, and when He came onstage after a round of the verandah, the programme got underway just before five o'clock. The village folk danced to the tune of songs on Krishna in their language for more than 45 minutes. Bhagawan then called up one of them and blessed him with a chain. He gave clothes to all the performers as they came up to Him one by one. Bhajans by the students commenced after Swami went down for group photographs with the dancers. The dancer who played Krishna continued to dance as the bhajans on Krishna were sung and prasadam was distributed to the performers; Swami called him up for another photograph. Bhagawan left for His residence at 6.15 pm after Arati. You can see an illustrated version of happenings at Prasanthi Nilayam in the Prasanthi Diary of our monthly e-Journal Heart to Heart.
